Pinkham's celebrate 30th anniversary

Tim and Peggy Pinkham of Washington celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their marriage vows and a reception at Grace Baptist Church, 418 Highland Ave., Jan. 23.

Timothy Hillman Pinkham and Margaret Lynn Phillips were married Jan. 26, 1980, in Monterey, Calif., at First Baptist Church of Monterey.

Spc. 4 Tim Pinkham was in the Army and stationed at Fort Ord on the Monterey Peninsula. He is the son of Rev. Leroy Pinkham of Bangor, Maine, and the late Carolyn Pinkham.

Margaret “Peggy” Pinkham is the daughter of Kathleen Newman Phillips of Monterey and the late Brevard Carlos Phillips.

Standing up with the couple were Stephen J. Pinkham, brother of the bridegroom, and Michelle S. Phillips Hazdovac, sister of the bride.

In 1980, Tim’s father, Rev. Leroy Pinkham, assisted in the ceremony with the vows and rings along with the couple’s pastor, Rev. Dean Koontz. Rev. Pinkham again assisted in the vows, along with Rev. Louis Showers, pastor of Grace Baptist Church. The couple’s children stood up with them in the vow renewal ceremony.

The Pinkhams are the parents of Joel Timothy Pinkham of Greenwood and Rebekah Kathleen Pinkham, temporarily residing in Washington.

Tim is employed with Walmart, Papa John’s Pizza and is a freelance reporter for the Washington Times-Herald. Peggy works part-time at the Washington Pregnancy Care Center.

They moved to Indiana in July 1989.
