WASHINGTON — Mr. and Mrs. Gene Goodrid, 413 E. Flora St., Washington, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 25. Mr. and Mrs. Goodrid were married June 25, 1942, by Rev. Oscar T. Nichols at the Methodist parsonage at Morganfield, Ky. Mrs. Goodrid is the former Dorothy Ann Witherspoon, daughter of the late James “Gene” and Una Witherspoon, and Mr. Goodrid is the son of the late Victor and Edith Goodrid. They are the parents of six daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and John Ricks of Washington, Vicki and Jim Wood of Plainfield, Cindy and Blaine Kalberer of Washington, Sandy and Adrian Davis of Avon, Patty and Tim Riker and Peggy and Clif Wilson, all of Washington. They have 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. They will celebrate with their family Sunday, June 24, with church and a dinner.
