WASHINGTON —
Carl William "Bill" and Cheryl Lynn (Frankum) Marvel of Monroe City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the Community United Methodist Church located at 1548 S. Hart St., Vincennes. The couple were married March 17, 1962.
Bill's parents are the late Carl and Eunice Marvel. He is currently employed with Gibco Trucking Co. Cheryl's parents are the late James and Henrietta Frankum. She is an independent Longaberger consultant.
The couple have five children, Melisa Hale of Evansville, Kim Mitchko of Washington, Andrea Junkin of Vincennes, Tonya Sternberg of Huntingburg, and Thad Marvel of Vincennes. They have 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend. They have asked that gifts be omitted.
