  • Martin County down two sheriff's cruisers SHOALS — Martin County Sheriff Tony Dant told the county council Monday that two of his eight cars are in the shop and requiring service.

    One, a 2005 with 70,000 miles, needs a new transmission, estimated at costing $4,016. That price includes a warranty on the transmission.
