WASHINGTON — The state Department of Transportation has awarded Daviess County $2.5 million for the county's CR 900E project.
The funds will be used to construct 8-foot shoulders for Amish buggy lanes along the road. Construction will begin in 2013.
"It's a great project in a community that needs it," INDOT Deputy Commissioner for Major Projects Sam Sarvis said.
More on the grant award and reaction in Wednesday's Times Herald.
