Snow makes highways slick across much of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — State police have reported snow-covered and slick highways across Indiana as several inches of snow fell in the second significant winter storm in less than a week.

Dozens of school districts closed on Tuesday across the state and travel was snarled for morning commuters.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for nearly the entire state. Snowfall totals were expected to range from about 3 inches in the Evansville area to a foot or more in northwestern Indiana, followed by possible drifting from wind gusts up to 30 mph.

Some parts of the state saw up to 10 inches of snow from a storm that started on Friday.
