Boil Water Advisory

WASHINGTON — The Daviess County Rural Water System has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for those customers on 100E, south of CR 600S and CR 825S, including those customer east of CR 825S to end of line.

    Formal murder charges were filed Thursday against two men in the death of Katelyn Wolfe.

    Randal E. Crosley, 25, and Jordan Buskirk, 26, have both been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, rape and criminal confinement in Wolfe’s death. Crosley was further charged with two counts of dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance.

  • Wreck.jpg One dies after accident on Main Street

    A local man was killed Monday after his 2004 Chevy pick up truck struck a utility pole at 101 NE Seventh St. Dispatchers received a call at 9:59 a.m. requesting that a line truck be sent as soon as possible to the location for the accident that left a power line down. Carl A. Dailey, 58, Washington, was taken to Daviess Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 a.m. The accident is still under investigation.  Crews worked at the scene until late Monday afternoon.
