Martin Mumaw III diagnosed with terminal cancer

WASHINGTON —

Daviess County Treasurer and long-time county Republican Chairman Martin L. Mumaw III has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is resting at home on hospice care.

“I want to thank everyone for the cards, notes, phone calls, offers of assistance, transportation, visits and prayers received during my illness. I have fought the good fight and am at peace with my diagnosis. I regret that I have been unable to acknowledge each and every show of support as I have battled this illness, but please know that it has all been greatly appreciated.

" I will miss visiting, working and fellowshipping with all of you, but look forward to the day when we are reunited.”
