1-vehicle accident leaves 3 injured

PLAINVILLE — Three people were seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning. Devin M. Flynn, 16, 1159E 150S, was driving west on CR 800N at 8:08 a.m. when for unknown reason she lost control of a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire, registered to Richard Flynn of the same address. The car then overturned once ejecting the driver and the front seat passenger, Benjamin M. Wagler, 20, Odon. The car came to rest on its wheels in a soybean field belonging to Richard Myers. Flynn was partially trapped under the car, but Wagler was able to free her. He was also able to free the back seat passenger, Flynn’s sister, Angie G. Garten, 14, 1159E 150S. No seatbelts were in use. All three were taken by ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital and then flown by AirEvac and St. Mary’s Life Line helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital, Evansville. Flynn suffered internal injury to her entire body. Wagler suffered pain to his knee, lower leg and foot and Garten suffered pain to her entire body. At press time, Flynn was listed in critical condition, Garten in serious condition and Wagler in stable condition, according to the Evansville Courier and Press.
