Gilley appointed American Family Insurance agent

Theresa Gilley of Bicknell has been appointed a full-time agent for American Family Insurance Group, according to Rod Beck, district sales manager for the company.

Gilley opened an office at 318 E. Main St. on March 1. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and accepts Saturday and evening appointments.

Gilley has been a Knox County resident for 17 years, and her husband, Berin, is from Washington. Gilley is a graduate of South Knox High School and the University of Southern Indiana. She has 10 years of managerial experience and three years of insurance experience.

Gilley replaces John Newlin, who relocated for American Family to the Jasper area. Newlin was an American Family agent in Washington since 2004.

Based in Madison, Wis., American Family Insurance offers auto, homeowners, life, health, commercial and farm/ranch insurance, plus financial services, in 18 states.
