WASHINGTON — Amy Elizabeth Meyer and Brett Allen Matteson announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The bride-elect is the daughter of Kevin and Beth Meyer of Monroe City. She graduated from South Knox High School in 2006 and from Vincennes University in 2008. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and reading endorsement in 2010 from Indiana State University. She is currently a Title I teacher at Riley Elementary in Vincennes. The future bridegroom is the son of Brenda Newland and Marty Matteson, both of Washington. He graduated from Washington High School in 2005 and Vincennes University with a bachelor’s degree in education in 2010. He is currently teaching first grade at North Elementary. The wedding will take place at 4:30 p.m. July 21 at Monroe City First Church of God, with Re. Mark Nielson officiating.
