Mr. and Mrs. Doug and Glenda Scudder of Odon announce the engagement of their daughter, Annalie Renee Scudder to Stephen Michael Brooks of Chesapeake, Va., son of April Brooks and Mr. and Mrs. Brian Brooks of Chesapeake. The couple met in the summer of 2008 while participating on an archaeological dig in Israel and Jordan.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of S.D. Scudder of Elnora and the late Frieda Scudder and Richard and Wilma Smith of Plainville. A 2006 graduate of North Daviess High School, she is attending Purdue University, where she will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in speech language and hearing sciences. Following graduation in May 2010, she plans to attend graduate school in pursuit of a Master of Science degree in speech language pathology.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John and Yvonne Swain of Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Phyllis Rogerson of North Carolina. He is a 2007 graduate of Indian River High School. He is currently attending Mid-Atlantic Christian University, where he majors in Bible with a minor in music. After graduation in 2011, he plans to work in worship ministries and music.
The wedding is planned for July 10, 2010, at the Monroe City First Church of God, Monroe City.
