WASHINGTON —
Travis Elliott Schaffer, son of Tom and Elizabeth Schaffer of Odon, is engaged to Kara Elizabeth Minderman, daughter of Jim and Karen Minderman of Vincennes. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Mary Patricia Schmidt and the late Walter and Martha Minderman. The future bridegroom is the grandson of Thomas Mulroy of Memphis, Tenn., and the late Virginia Smith Mulroy and the late Joseph A. Smith. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Schaffer of Sandy Lake, Pa.
A 2006 graduate of North Daviess High School, the future bridegroom attended Purdue University, where he received a bachelorÕs degree in agribusiness. While at Purdue he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He is employed with Crop Production Services as a crop consultant. A 2006 graduate of Vincennes Rivet Catholic School, the bride-elect received dual bachelorÕs degrees from the Indiana Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis, majoring in human resources and management. She is employed at Perdue Farms, Inc. as a human resources associate.
The couple will exchange vows June 9 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vincennes, with a reception to follow at the Highland Woods Community Center. Following the wedding the couple will reside in Washington. Formal invitations are being sent.
