Bridge bids sought

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Board of Commissioners of Daviess County will receive sealed bids until 5:00 p.m., E.D.T., on July 28, 2008 at the Daviess County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse, Washington, Indiana 47501 for the construction of Bridge No. 281 on County Road 150W, north of U.S. 50.

Contract documents, including specifications are available at the Daviess County Highway Department located at 5247 E 100 N, Montgomery, Indiana, (812) 444-5798.

Form 96 with the non-collusion affidavit executed and notarized, must be completed and submitted by all bidders along with a certified check or bid bond equal to (10%) ten percent of the bid.

The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to (100%) one hundred percent of the contract price. The surety on the performance bond cannot be released for (1) one year.

A retainer in the amount of (10%) ten percent will be reserved by Daviess County until final acceptance of the completed work.

The bidder shall indemnify, defend, exculpate, and hold harmless Daviess County as outlined in the “Damage Claims” section of the detailed specifications.

The Daviess County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
