WASHINGTON — Santa will be in the park at Sandborn at the community building from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Soup and sandwiches will be available for a donation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Miss Mouse on Saturday
Tri-Kappa will host Miss Mouse from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Daviess County courthouse. Admission is $5.
RTL paper drive on Saturday
The Daviess and Martin County Right to Life paper and aluminum can drive is set for Saturday.
Drop off papers or cans at the main location at the old Kmart parking lot in Washington, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other pick up points around the county including St. Peter's school in Montgomery, Ray Truelove's residence in Cannelburg, Mallet's Service Station in Plainville, Odon United Methodist Church (place papers in shelter house behind church), Elnora Christian Church and Martin County Recycling Center in Loogootee.

Free Methodist Church, 1155 Troy Road, has announced the dates for ordering food from Smart Choice Food South for the month of December:
* Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon;
* Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to noon.
You may call the church at 254-5440 for a menu. Menus are also available on the church website at www.winfmc.com.
Online ordering is available at www.smartchoicefood.com and closes at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.
