Friday
11:47 a.m. — An ER employee reported a 16-year-old on a moped had been run off the road on his way to school by an elderly man in a green van. The incident occurred near Snack Shack. The juvenile’s parents requested an officer.
9:31 a.m. — Ken Hall, 1007 N.E. Fourth St., advised his 1996 Plymouth Breeze was damaged while it was parked in his carport.
There was a dent and scratches to the hood.
9:10 a.m. — An employee of Fast Max, 1200 E. Nat’l Hwy., reported the drive-off theft of $29 in gas by someone in a white Ford Explorer.
The plate number was given and the person was identified.
Thursday
10:57 p.m. — Cindy Meade reported her 2007 Toyota SUV had been struck while she was inside 914 N.E. Fifth St. 30-40 minutes.
There was damage to the drivers side rear quarter panel, lift gate and taillight assembly.

Jasper woman hurt in crash
Friday at approximately 10:28 a.m. Master Trooper Gaven Wilson responded to a two-vehicle crash on First Street at Little Orleans Street in Montgomery.
His investigation revealed that Carl L. Burris, 87, Washington, was driving a black 2008 Toyota north on First Street when he allegedly fell asleep and traveled left of center into the path of a white 2004 Jeep driven by Lois M. Wininger, 65, Jasper.
The vehicles hit head-on.
Wininger complained of pain and was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment.
Burris was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, which help reduce and prevent injuries.
Both vehicles sustained more than $10,000 in damages.
City Council to meet
The Washington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items included on the agenda: discussion on completion of combined sewer overflow project; open bids on demolition and removal of structures at 2121 Oak Grove Road; discussion/approval of Peter Parsons to Washington Economic Development Commission for another term.
Prior to the meeting, Daniel Wilkins will be sworn in as a patrolman for the Washington Police Department.
The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet following the council meeting.
Items included on the agenda: discussion/approval of ADA contract and U.S. 50 relocation project with Bernardin, Lochmueller and Associates, Inc., request by St. Vincent DePaul Society for no-parking sign, request for children-playing sign on N.W. Ninth St., discussion of bids received, discussion of salary/position change in the electric department, discussion of long term control plan project.
‘Meet the Teacher’ at WC
Washington Catholic Early Childhood is hosting its “Meet the Teacher” nights. Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be for the Kindergarten Readiness Class, 4-5 years old (4th birthday prior to Aug. 1); Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be for the Little Learners Class, 3-4 years old (3rd birthday prior to Aug. 1).
B-R board to meet Wednesday
Barr-Reeve Community Schools Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at noon Wednesday, to discuss a job performance evaluation.
The regular session will be at 1 p.m. Items included on the agenda: public hearing on budget, capital projects plan and school bus replacement plan; cheer coach recommendation.
