Thursday

2:39 p.m. — An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, requested an officer for a shoplifter who had been detained in the office. Rachael M. Wilhite, 34, Washington, was long-formed for theft.

Wednesday

6:15 p.m. — Mitch Colvin reported someone had busted out the rear driver’s side window on Heather Padgett’s 2001 Trailblazer at 500 Meredith St.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

11:16 a.m. — A caller advised of a small silver car with front-end damage and a broken windshield that drives at a high rate of speed on CR 550N near Montgomery. Extra patrol was requested.

11:03 a.m. — A female reported someone threw roofing nails at the entrance to 996 Veale Creek Lane. She requested extra patrol.

8:22 a.m. — A female caller requested extra patrol on CR 1000N near Odon because of the tri-axle trucks that run through the area.

COUNTY ACCIDENT

Tuesday

3:46 p.m. — Michael D. Thacker of Wheatland advised he was westbound on U.S. 50 approaching the intersection with CR 300W when three vehicles pulled out from CR 300W and headed west on the highway.

He stated he then got in the passing lane to pass the cars that had pulled out. Thacker told the investigating officer that, about 450 feet from the intersection with CR 300W, he noticed a green SUV passing him on the left. He said the vehicle went off the road into the median, where it hit a small embankment causing it to roll over several times.

Brenda M. Mora, 21, of Wichita Falls, Texas, was driving the SUV, a 2002 Ford Explorer registered to Agustina M. Mora of 1005 W. Main St., Washington. She stated that as she neared Thacker’s vehicle in the fast lane, he went left cutting her off. She stated she went left to avoid striking his vehicle, drove into the median and the vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its wheels facing south in the median.

Mora complained of knee/lower leg/foot pain. Passenger Maria A. Mora, 52, of 1005 W. Main St., complained of back pain, and passenger Cassandra Mora, 3, of 1005 W. Main St., complained of pain to the entire body. Everyone was using their safety restraints.

Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

ARRESTS

Rodney Kessler, 26, Evansville, was arrested Thursday by city police for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after David Powers called from the McDonald’s drive-thru, 1450 E. Nat’l Hwy., advising someone in a red Chevrolet pickup was against his back bumper pushing his vehicle. Powers was held at Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

Joshua Eversgerd, 22, Germantown, Ill., was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was held on $4,000 bond.

Tyler Becker, 22, Beckemeyer, Ill., was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was held on $4,000 bond.

Tyler Soto, 20, Aviston, Ill., was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was held on $4,000 bond.

William Young, 35, Carlyle, Ill., was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was held on $4,000 bond.

Teresa Harvey, 44, Washington, was arrested Wednesday by city police on a warrant for failure to appear. She was held on $5,000 bond.

Scott L. Fleck, 43, Washington, was arrested by city police Wednesday for domestic battery. He was held on $5,000 bond.

Kendra J. Leighty, 21, was arrested Wednesday by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant for escape, resisting law enforcement, minor possession of alcohol and failure to appear. She was held on $102,000 bond.

Alba E. Ivy, 35, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a warrant for check deception. He was held on $2,500 bond.

Linda D. Able, 40, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was held on $5,000 bond.

Jacobo Cisneros Flores, 35, Washington, was arrested Wednesday by city police for operating a motor vehicle while never receiving a license.

He was released on $2,000 bond.
