A celebration of service was hosted by the RSVP Volunteer Center for their active members who volunteered in 2009. Master of ceremonies for the event was Dan Murrie, chief deputy prosecutor of Daviess County. Recognizing “Volunteering is alive and well in Daviess County,” Murrie congratulated the 307 RSVP volunteers for their 72,853 hours of service to the community. Giving their time and talents to 42 local not-for-profit and community services agencies, many people have benefited from their work, both directly and indirectly.
