Vadney Blake, 23, Cannelburg, was sentenced Monday in Dubois County Circuit Court for the beating death of her son, Jalen. During the short sentencing, Dubois Judge William Weikert agreed to the plea agreement where Blake pled guilty to battery resulting in death, a Class A felony. As part of the agreement, a Class A felony neglect charge was dropped.
