Normally a typical day of work doesn’t begin with a police chase. Mine, however, did Thursday.
Several police officers from around the area were participating in an Emergency Vehicle Operating Course, or EVOC, at the Gwaltney Sports Complex in Washington. After I drove past the orange cones to enter, parked my car and approached the officers, Ptl. Kyle Babrick yelled from his car, “You want a ride?”
