Tuesday
7:08 a.m. — An employee of Fast Max, 1200 E. Nat’l Hwy., reported the drive-off theft of $28.02 in fuel. An officer viewed security video of the incident.
Monday
4:40 p.m. — An End Zone employee advised a female shoplifter who stole jackets last week was back inside the business tanning. Paige Leeann Simmons also was wanted on warrant in Warrick County.
4:35 p.m. — Officers met security personnel at Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, about a shoplifter. Misty R. Melvin, Shoals, will be long-formed for theft.

Monday
9:27 p.m. — A caller hit a tree that fell in a road near 723E 450S. The vehicle was towed and the tree removed.
9:10 p.m. — A caller reported an overturned vehicle on SR 257S. The vehicle was towed and an accident report is being completed.
5:46 p.m. — An employee of Fast Max, Elnora, reported a drive-off worth $57.79. A black Isuzu was seen leaving the station.
6:25 a.m. — An employee of Cornelius Manufacturing, Elnora, reported tools and wire were stolen. An offense report was taken.
COUNTY ACCIDENT
Saturday
11:45 p.m. – Brandon R. Knepp, 17, Cannelburg, was eastbound on CR 100N in a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro registered to Evelyn K. Knepp when, for an unknown reason, he drove off the south side of the roadway.
The vehicle traveled over two culverts and a creek before colliding into the creek embankment.
Knepp called his parents, who reported the accident to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and advised they were taking their son to Daviess Community Hospital Emergency Room by private vehicle to be treated for minor bleeding to his head and head/neck pain. Michael J. Knepp, 15, the driver’s brother and a passenger in the Camaro, was not injured. Both air bags deployed, but it was unknown if the two teens were wearing their seatbelts.
At the hospital, officers advised the driver and his parents of implied consent, and they agreed to a chemical test. Brandon Knepp tested positive for alcohol at .108 alcohol serum and also for benzodiazepines, according to the accident report. He was charged with misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
ARRESTS
Paige Simmons, 18, Washington, was arrested by city police Monday on a Warrick County warrant for auto theft. She was being held without bond.
Mario Palacios, 33, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday for domestic battery. He was released on $2,000 bond.
Brandon Crowe, 23, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for resisting law enforcement.
He was released on $5,000 bond.
Total Jail Population: 131.
