WASHINGTON — Leaf pickup in the city of Washington has finished, according to the Street Department. Anyone that has leaves and needs them disposed are to bag them and take the leaves to the Street Department garages at 2200 Memorial Ave. Burning of leaves is not allowed in the city.
DCH board to meet Thursday
Daviess Community Hospital Board of Governors will meet in executive session at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The open session will be at 9:30 a.m.
Plainville town board to meet
The town of Plainville has rescheduled the December board meeting to 7 p.m. Thursday in the town hall.
Retired teachers meeting Friday
The Daviess-Martin County Retired Teachers Association will meet Friday at the Washington Ponderosa Steakhouse at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and meeting. New members are welcome.
DCH Cookie Walk this Friday
Staff and volunteers of Daviess Community Hospital’s Helping Hearts Hospice Program will host their annual Cookie Walk Friday beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the hospital. For a donation of $5 or more, participants can fill a box with their choice of home-baked cookies. Proceeds help support the delivery of hospice care to patients and families in the community.
