Graber Post Classic opens Thursday

ELNORA — The Graber Post Buildings Classic begins Thursday at North Daviess High School with eight teams playing in the three-day event.

Orleans and North Posey open the tournament at 3 p.m., with Brownstown Central facing Forest Park at 4:30 p.m.

Barr-Reeve and South Knox play at 6 p.m. with North Daviess and Clay City closing out the first day at 7:30 p.m.

Teams then branch into championship and consolation brackets Friday and Saturday.

Losers of first-round games play at 3 p..m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Winners of game one and two Thursday play at 6 p.m., with game three and four winners meeting Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The seventh-place game is Saturday at 3 p.m. The fifth-place game is at 4:30 p.m.

The third place game is set for 6 p.m., adn the championship is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

  • WHS camp is Monday

    The Washington Hatchet's Summer Tennis Camp begins Monday at the Lena Dunn Elementary School courts.
    Boys and girls entering grades three through eight this coming school year wishing to participate may register when the camp begins at 9 a.m. The camp continues each day until 10:30 a.m. through Thursday.
    Each player should bring a racket (one can be provided), a towel and a water bottle.
    The cost of the camp is $25 per person. Checks should be made to WHS Boys Tennis.

  • Washington Catholic High School is seeking coaches for the fall season.

    Coaching positions open include: varsity and junior varsity volleyball; junior high volleyball, and junior high boys soccer.
