LOOGOOTEE —
The Washington volleyball team lost three straight games (25-15, 25-15, 25-16) at Loogootee Tuesday evening.
For Washington, Rachel Chattin added seven assists, Araina Fidler had 10 digs and Amber Taylor 12 assists.
Loogootee (16-3) got 15 kills from Michala Beasley and Christina Ziegler, 34 assists from Demi Richardson, 11 digs from Abby Ackerman and Kailye Robbins. Demi Richardson also scored nine points.
Vikings defeat Cougars in 3
MONTGOMERY –– The Barr-Reeve volleyball team defeated North Daviess (25-18, 25-15, 25-22) Tuesday evening.
For North Daviess, Chandra Bruner, Madison Reed and Jessica Miller each had four kills and Taylor Jeffers added three. Larynda Keith scored three aces and 10 digs. Lenzi Brewer had eight assists.
The Viking JV team also defeated the Cougars in three games (25-13, 20-25, 15-11).
Cougars defeat Thunderbirds
ELNORA –– The North Daviess junior varsity football team defeated Eastern Greene Tuesday evening. 22-0.
Washington Gold wins
WASHINGTON –– Washington’s 5th and 6th Grade YMCA Gold football team beat the Petersburg Chargers, 38-0, Sunday.
Jaydin Pendley and Grant Niehaus scored three touchdowns each and Tyson Wright added a two-point conversion.

WHS camp is Monday
The Washington Hatchet's Summer Tennis Camp begins Monday at the Lena Dunn Elementary School courts.
Boys and girls entering grades three through eight this coming school year wishing to participate may register when the camp begins at 9 a.m. The camp continues each day until 10:30 a.m. through Thursday.
Each player should bring a racket (one can be provided), a towel and a water bottle.
