Cougars improve to 3-0

ELNORA — Once again it wasn't pretty, but the North Daviess girls basketball team got another victory.

The Cougars (3-0) defeated Linton (0-3) 33-18 Thursday evening at the Cougar Den behind 14 points from Meghan Knepp.

North Daviess jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter, and it took a 21-8 lead. The Miners won the fourth quarter 4-3 cutting the lead to 12 entering the final quarter. The Cougars pulled away in the fourth for the 33-18 margin.

North Daviess has allowed only 33 points in two home victories this season.
