North Daviess tops Shoals, 47-27

SHOALS — Nick Crays scored 17 points, and Wes Lengacher scored 16 as North Daviess defeated Shoals 47-27 Friday evening.

North Daviess led 12-6 after the first quarter, and 26-10 at halftime to put the Jug Rox away early. Crays had eight rebounds and four assists to go to pace the Cougars offense.

Adam Wagler added five points, six rebounds and three assists. Kelby Byrer added four points, and Nick Woodruff had three points.

Jon Sherfick scored seven points to led Shoals, and Dylan Erwin and Alex Doane added six points for the Jug Rox.

North Daviess¹ junior varsity won 49-37 behind 14 points from Zach Moore.

  • WHS camp is Monday

    The Washington Hatchet's Summer Tennis Camp begins Monday at the Lena Dunn Elementary School courts.
    Boys and girls entering grades three through eight this coming school year wishing to participate may register when the camp begins at 9 a.m. The camp continues each day until 10:30 a.m. through Thursday.
    Each player should bring a racket (one can be provided), a towel and a water bottle.
    The cost of the camp is $25 per person. Checks should be made to WHS Boys Tennis.
