Amy Hoefling and Brian Cortez were married July 11, 2009, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Gordon Mann as the officiant. The bride is the daughter of David and Franny Hoefling and the granddaughter of Sallie Hoefling, all of Washington. The bridegroom is the son of the late Eloy Cortez, stepson of Jackie Kelly Cortez of Okeechobee, Fla., and the grandson of Palmira Cortez of Brownsville, Texas.
Matron of honor was Lauren Hoefling Wilson. Bridesmaids were Emily Hoefling Crouch, Sarah Russell Graber and Erika Olsen Marion.
Best man was Jarrett Cortez. Groomsmen were Marcus Cortez, Nick Cortez, Chris Cortez and David Cortez, while Justin Wilson and John Crouch served as ushers.
Sarah Cortez served as a flower girl and Dominic Wilson served as a ring bearer.
A reception with family and friends was held at the Washington Country Club.
The couple resides in Atlanta, Ga., where the bride is a middle school teacher with the Cobb County School District, and the bridegroom is self-employed as a construction contractor.
