Chanda Lynnelle Swartz and Clint Aaron Mackey were united in marriage Aug. 22, 2009, at Berea Mennonite Church in Cannelburg, with Shawn Otto officiating. Parents of the bride are Dave and Rhoda Swartz of Cannelburg. Her grandparents are Verda Wagler of Cannelburg and the late Anson Wagler and Lavern and Marcella Swartz of Lake Odessa, Mich. The bridegroom’s parents are Allan and Beth Mackey of Carlisle. He is the grandson of Larry and Carolyn McKinley of Sullivan and the late Carl and Lillian Mackey.
Jayna Swartz served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendra Swartz, cousin of the bride; Julia Hart, Kelsie Miller, Angela Gambill, sister of the bridegroom; and Bridget Mackey and Jessica Mackey, both sisters-in-law of the bridegroom. The junior bridesmaids were Alivia Mackey and Addison Mackey, both nieces of the bridegroom. Averi Lengacher was the miniature bride and Lauren Graber Wagler served as the bride’s assistant.
The best man was John Kramer. Groomsmen were Blaine Mackey and Craig Mackey, both brothers of the bridegroom; Aaron Gambill, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Jayson Swartz, brother of the bride; Rusty Shepperd, Anthony Vela and Barron Hewetson. Jaeden Lengacher was the ring bearer. Ushers were Jesse Swartz, Dennis Swartzentruber, Jake Miller, Zach Jernberg and Zack Graber.
Guestbook and program attendants were Desiree Knepp, Alicia Cox, Ashley Mackey and Rachel Mackey. Vocalists were Nate and Lynette Yoder, Steve Swartz, Jesse Swartz, Lila Swartz and Dennis and Shaunna Swartzentruber. Pianist was Lynette Yoder.
A dinner reception followed at the Simon J. Graber Complex.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and a 2009 graduate of Wabash Valley College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Heartland Cardiology Associates in Jasper.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Sullivan High School. He is employed by Operating Engineers Local 841 of Terre Haute.
After honeymooning in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the couple resides in Washington.
