WASHINGTON — Suzanne Michelle Valade and Joshua Louis Richardt announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The bride-elect is the daughter of William and Mary Ann Valade of Farmington Hills, Mich. She is a 2002 graduate of Mercy High School, Detroit, Mich., a 2006 graduate of the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, and a 2010 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics and a master’s degree in international linguistic studies. The future bridegroom is the son of Michael and Janie Richardt of Indianapolis. He is the grandson of Gene and Patty Wood of Washington. He is a graduate of Cathedral High School, Indianapolis, class of 2001, and the University of Dayton, class of 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. He plans to attend graduate school in the upcoming school year. The couple will exchange vows Sept. 4 at Gesu Catholic Church in Detroit.
