Hawkins, Bauer wed

On April 4, Kimberly Jean Hawkins and John Cody Bauer exchanged wedding vows at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Loogootee. Pastor Jennifer Faust performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Debbie Hawkins of Shoals. She is the granddaughter of Bernard and Melba Harker of Shoals and the late William and Bonnie Hawkins. The bridegroom is the son of John Bauer of Washington and Lori Butler of Shoals. He is the grandson of Betty Garrett of Shoals and the late Don Garrett and Sharon Callahan of Washington.

The bride wore an all white sequin heat-shaped neck, A-line dress. The bridegroom wore a black tux with a white vest.

The bridesmaids were dressed in champagne gowns with turquoise ties around the waist while the groomsmen wore black tuxes and turquoise bests.

Champagne roses was the choice of flowers for the bride and her attendants.

Attending the couple were: matron of honor, Melissa Luthain, sister of the bride; maid of honor, Brittney Sexton; best man, Kyle Hamblin; bridesmaids and groomsmen, Sarah Hembree, Kyle Wininger, Kayla Bauer, sister of the bridegroom, Woody Hembree, Erin Sanders, Jordan Sanders, Audrey Garrett, cousin of the bridegroom, and Cody Medina. Ushers were Zach Brown, Seth Sorrells and Jason Bauer, cousin of the bridegroom.

Others in the wedding party included junior bridesmaid, LaRissa McKibben, niece of the bridegroom; miniature bride, Ikia Wright; flower girl, Olivia Harker, cousin of the bride; junior groomsman, Clayton Harker, cousin of the bride; miniature bridegroom, Brydon McKibben, nephew of the bridegroom; and ring bearer, Noah Sanders.

Programs and guest book attendants were Taylor Atkinson, sister of the bridegroom, Logan Harker, cousin of the bride, and Jessica Butler, stepsister of the bridegroom.

Vocals were performed by Bill Bauer, family of the bridegroom, and Joyce Hawkins, aunt of the bride.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Montgomery Ruritan Building.

Cake servers were Kylie Abel, Courtney Jones and Kristie Hawkins, sister of the bride.

The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. They currently reside in Montgomery.
