Lacey Showalter, daughter of Tony and Sally Showalter of Washington, and Brock Higgins, son of Joe and Debbie Higgins of Odon, were united in marriage July 25 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Montgomery, with Rev. Jim Koressel officiating.
Lindsey Fuhs, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Brittney Clark served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marci Keusch, Haley O’Brian, Alison Hart, Jesse Smith, Celia Way and Emily Neal. Flower girl was Adria Higgins, niece of the bridegroom, and miniature bride was Faith Fuhs, niece of the bride. The bride’s personal attendant was Lorri Zeller.
Clint Ramsey and Jess Brower both served as best man. Groomsmen were Chad Higgins and Lance Higgins, both brothers of the bridegroom, also Logan Correll, Mark Wade, Josh Mullis and Andrew Peter. Ring bearers were Brant Higgins, nephew of the bridegroom, and Owen Fuhs, nephew of the bride. Miniature bridegroom was Cooper Higgins, nephew of the bridegroom. Ushers were Tyler Showalter and Trey Showalter, both cousins of the bride, and Brandon Callison and Ben Norris.
Programs were passed out by Briley Williams and MacKenzie Snider, both cousins of the bride. Reader at the service was Steve Zeller. Vocalists were Brooke Browning and Crystal McBride. Organist was Angie Traylor and flutist was Stephanie O’Brian.
The bride chose a Maggie Sottero brand georgette chiffon strapless A-line gown with a lace-up closure at the back with splashes of intricate beading. It also featured a fluted side drape and a cutaway feature accenting the train.
A dinner and dance was held at the Jasper Inn after the ceremony.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Washington High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Washington School Corporation as a fifth grade teacher at North Elementary.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of North Daviess High School and has received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and elementary education from the University of Southern Indiana. He is employed by the North Daviess School Corporation as a third grade teacher.
After a wedding trip to New York City the couple resides in Washington.
