BEDFORD, Va. — Marilyn (Osmon) Buchanan, 57, formerly of Washington, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 4 p.m. Monday in Bedford, Va. Born July 21, 1952, in Washington, she was the daughter of Ralph and Betty (Barrett) Osmon. A 1971 graduate of Washington High School, she was a committed wife and loving mother. She is survived by her husband, John Buchanan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Erik Landemalm of Somalia and Amy and Andrew Mathe of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, Stephen Buchanan who is attending Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Dennis Osmon of Washington; and countless friends and members of the Buchanan family. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stephen Osmon. The funeral will be at noon Saturday at Aikman Creek Church, with Jeff Fredrick officiating. Burial will be in Aikman Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Arrangements are being made through Ed Lee Mortuary.
