LOOGOOTEE — Waylon W. Abel, 30, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born Aug. 12, 1981, in Washington. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Schilli Transportation in Shoals. He will be forever missed by his father and stepmother, John and Sandy Abel of Shoals; mother, Annette Clark of Washington; fiancee Rene Sipes of Loogootee; three daughters, Faith Abel, Laken Inman and Chloe Spencer; two sons, Gabe and Johnny Abel; brothers, Derek and Mandy Wininger of Louisiana, Cody and Sarah Abel of Washington, and Joshua Lemon of Vincennes; sisters, Jessica and Brian Asher of Sandborn, Beth Abel and her fiance John Way of Shoals; maternal grandmother, Diane Bridenbaugh of Washington; paternal grandparents, George and Bernadette Abel of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather Ernie Bridenbaugh. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Dover Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with visitation after 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
