Janet L. (Hornby) Perry Krieg

HOLLAND — Janet L. (Hornby) Perry Krieg, 66, died Sunday at the home of her daughter Carmen of Holland after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 31, 1943.

She attended Buckskin Grade School, Mackey High School and graduated from Devry’s Beauty College. She worked as a beautician, operated a sawmill, and for the past 30 years drove a Peterbilt as an over-the-road trucker. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, visiting with family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. In her younger days she was an avid hunter.

She had been married to the late Charlie Krieg. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Jeff Berger of Holland; seven grandchildren, Josh, Brandi, Kassandra, Cameron, Skylar, Jonathan and Cheyenne; sisters, Mildred Weigle of Bonnieville, Ky., and Doris Kempa of Grandview; and brothers, Kenneth of Oakland City, Harold “Bub” of Oakland City, and Dale of Francisco. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil “Doc” and Irene (Holder) Hornby and brothers Robert Holder and David Hornsby.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. until service time at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Fuller Funeral Home, Dale.
