Violet Fair Kelley, 91, entered into rest on Saturday at Washington Nursing Center.
She was born on March 24, 1918, in Pike County, to the late Gammon and Pearl (Hill) Boger.
She is survived by daughters, Rosalee (John) Mize and June (Gerald) Loveless, all of Petersburg, and Marilyn (Thomas) Thorne of Winslow; sons, Marvin (Oneida) Fair of Petersburg, Mike (Emily) Fair and Phillip (Denise) Fair, all of Washington, Don (Carol) Fair of Princeton and Kenneth (Patti) Fair of Greenwood; sister, Dorothy Scharbough of Indianapolis; half-brother Brooks Boger of Petersburg; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Violet in death were her parents, Gammon and Pearl (Hill) Boger; husband, Lester Fair; infant sons, James Paul, Lawrence and Clarence Kelley; one great-granddaughter; and brothers, Claude, Carlton, Cecil, Howard and A.J. Boger.
The funeral service for Violet will be 10:30 a .m. Thursday at Gill Chapel, with Pastor Dirk Fair and Rev. Michael Elliott officiating, with committal service following at Anderson Chapel in Petersburg.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until service time.
