SELLERSBURG — Daniel Padgett D.D.S., 64, passed away Wednesday at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany. He was the owner of Padgett Family Dentistry, served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, I.U. Alumni, I.U. Dental Association, Jeffersonville Elks Club, and Board of Directors for NWSB. Daniel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and dedicated to all of his patients whom he served. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Padgett. Surviving are his mother, Erma Barber Padgett of Washington; his wife, Mary Padgett of Sellersburg; sons, Craig (Michelle) Padgett of Sellersburg, David Padgett of New Albany; a daughter, Katherine Shahar of Hong Kong; a brother, William (Marie) Padgett of Washington; a sister, Jeannie (Bill) Batchelor of Washington; and three grandchildren, Justin, Sammy and Lilly. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Paul Catholic Church.
