Anna E. Healy

Anna E. Healy, 79, of Washington, died at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital.

Born March 13, 1930, in Cannelton, she was the daughter of Elmer and Rosina (Ballow) Horsley.

She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and Daughters of Isabella. She loved doing embroidery, needlepoint and cooking for her family and friends. Her true joy was babysitting her grandchildren and for others.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Healy, whom she married May 3, 1952; two daughters, Judy Healy of Indianapolis and Sharon Raine of McCordsville; one son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Debbie Healy of Washington; four grandchildren, Joetta D. Healy and J. Steven Healy, both of Washington, John Raine III of Fishers and Stephenie Raine of McCordsville; and two sisters, Mary Parker of Jasper and Dora Huff of Mesa, Ariz.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Leo Kiesel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 4 p.m. and a wake service at 5 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary.

Preferred memorials are to American Diabetes Association, 4400 Washington Ave., Suite B, Evansville, IN 47714.
