Alta V. Graber

LOOGOOTEE — Alta V. Graber, 85, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday at her residence.

Born Aug. 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Henry and Hannah Stoll.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church of Montgomery.

She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Ina Mae Graber, Dorothy and Louis Stoll, and Shirley Graber, all of Loogootee; five sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Betty Graber, Ern and Marilyn Graber, Elmer Lee and Ruth Graber, Melvin and Viola Graber, all of Loogootee, and Vernon and Rose Graber of Odon; two sisters, Ida Mai Wagler of Loogootee and Agnes Wagler of Montgomery; a sister-in-law, Roseanne Stoll of Montgomery; a brother-in-law, William Yoder of Odon, 15 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Her husband, David Graber, whom she married Jan. 15, 1942, died June 18, 1999. Three brothers, Roy, Elmer and Harvey Stoll; and one sister, Rosanne Yoder, are also deceased.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at First Mennonite Church, with home ministers Melvin Paulus, Gaylan Sommers and Rick Wagler officiating. Burial will be in First Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church.
