VINCENNES — Memphis Logan Riker, 9, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Monday at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Memphis was born in Evansville on June 11, 2002, to Thomas Logan Riker and Bobbie Adams. Memphis was a third grader at South Knox Elementary School. He attended the Wheatland Wesleyan Church and loved playing baseball and going fishing. He also enjoyed swimming, camping, riding his four wheeler and playing with Legos. Surviving is his father, Thomas Logan Riker and his wife Carrie of Washington; his mother, Bobbie Adams and her companion Jordan Garner of Vincennes; a brother, Jarrod Devine of Vincennes; a stepsister, Sydney Lindauer of Washington; and his stepbrothers, Lane and Draven Garner of Vincennes. Also surviving are his grandparents, John and Paula Adams of Vincennes, Mark L. Riker of Wheatland, Jackie and Tommi Hamilton of Washington; great-grandparents, Thomas and Sue Wingfield of Washington and Francis Riker of Wheatland; an uncle, Eric and his wife Alyson Hamilton of Washington; and two aunts, Sarah McGregor and her husband Shane of Monroe City and Tabatha Riker of Washington. He is preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Ralph Riker. A celebration of Memphis’ life will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday at South Knox Elementary School. Visitation will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
