Charles 'Tony' Anderson

ODON — Charles Anthony "Tony" Anderson, 56, of Odon, died Dec. 26 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

He was born July 29, 1956 in Monroe County to David C. and Leatha V. (Pate) Anderson. He married Doris (Hughes) Anderson on Jan. 14, 2008, and she survives.

He was a driver for the Amish and enjoyed fishing, camping and loved his dog Angel.

He is survived by two sons, David J. Anderson of Indiana, and Anthony Jacob Strahl, Fayetteville, NC., one daughter, Ton-ya Renee of Anderson, one stepdaughter, Christina Rose Hughes of Odon, three stepsons Darrell Scott Chaffin of Henderson, Ky., Donald Wayne Chaffin of Odon, and Danny J.

Chaffin, Austin, an adopted sister, Darlene Stewart, an adopted brother, George Anderson, and a stepsister, Letha Carol Childs and his Amish parents, Ora and Ida Lengacher, and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one stepsister, Janie Young, and one adopted brother, Bob Anderson.

Funeral services will be  at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Produce Building (across from Dinky¹s), with burial to follow in Stoll¹s Cemetery. Home ministers will officiate.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Produce Building Saturday. Brocksmith-Blake & Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.

    Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service.
