WASHINGTON — Doris Boblitt, 88, of Washington, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday at Eastgate Manor. Born April 3, 1924, in Loveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Richard and Florence (Krebs) Harcourt. A homemaker, she was retired from 25th Street Elementary School cafeteria. She was a member of West Cross Street Alliance Church of Anderson and Mothers of Twins Club. She is survived by her children, Linda Miller, Donald P. Boblitt, David (Roberta) Boblitt, Lois Simonson, Lisa (Bill) Galipault, Leeann (Mark) Flora, Lora (Lee) Beck, and Loraine (Mark) Condrey; a sister, Phyllis Albright; a brother, Richard Harcourt; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Donald Lot Boblitt, whom she married March 3, 1944, died in 2003. One son-in-law, Ben Miller, and two sisters, Alberta Willingham and Marilyn Strassel, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bethel Mennonite Church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Preferred memorial are to the church.
