WASHINGTON — Charles “Chuck” William Tow, 63, of Washington, died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville. Born Oct. 23, 1948, in Knox County, he was the son of Herbert William and Alice Ethel (Baldwin) Tow. He was baptized and attended Baptists churches with his parents. Disabled, his hobbies included mowing lawns and splitting wood, and doing other odd jobs to help others. He is survived by siblings, Arthur Tow of Plainville, and Alice “Doddlebug” and Tony J. Canary of Washington; a niece, Trudy and Rick Godfrey of Washington; great-nieces, Alice and Chris Clark and Crystal Smith, all of Washington; a great-nephew, Derek Godfrey of Washington; three great-great-nieces; and six great-great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Tow; and a nephew, Anthony “Antone” Canary. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gill Chapel, with Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Ridge Cemetery, Shoals. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home.
