WASHINGTON — Evelyn M. Lents, 79, of Washington, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born April 15, 1933, in Washington, she was the daughter of Legora A. and Violet M. (Capehart) Raney. A 1951 graduate of Washington High School, she had worked at Armour for a number of years. She is survived by her husband, Bill Lents, whom she married March 14, 1952; two daughters, Brenda (Larry) Buhr of Washington and Linda (Willard) Musgrove of Georgia; one son, Tim (Sue) Lents of Washington; two sisters, Betty Sullivan and Vera Shake, both of Washington; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marjorie Fricke and Janice Mattis; and four brothers, Robert, Ambrose, Donald and Kenneth Raney. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Cemetery, with Bro. Clarence Miller officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being made through Ed Lee Mortuary.
