WASHINGTON — Rose Eileen Theroff, 87, Washington, passed away at 8:05 a.m., Wednesday, at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.

Born September 12, 1924, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Everett Thomas and Rose (Kidwell) Alford. She graduated from Washington High School in 1942. She had retired from the Old Reliance Factory and owned and operated Theroff Motel . She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn (Dennis) Lenahan of Indianapolis, and Beverly (Delbert) Riker of Washington. three sons and daughter-in-laws; Richard (Joni) Theroff, of Washington; Kevin (Arlene) Theroff, of Linton, and Mark (Trena) Theroff of Washington; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lenas Theroff (July 29, 1984) and three brothers, Richard Alford, James Alford and William Alford; four sisters, Lorena Walker, Dorothy Chestain, Sarah Webber and Cleo Brochin.

The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary.
