Allegra Moore

ELNORA — Allegra (Bissey) Moore, 96, died Friday at Willow Manor in Vincennes. Born Dec. 10, 1915, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Art and Julia (Fidler) Woodruff. She had worked at Washington Rubber and Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, retiring at age 62. She was a member of Elnora United Methodist Church and a past member of American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Elaine Bissey of Alvin, Texas, John and Sherry Bissey of Odon, and Paul and Patsy Bissey of Columbus; daughters and sons-in-law, Colleen and Eddie Robinson of New Braunfels, Texas, and Hope and Ted Ault of Sandborn; a sister, Eldena Roark of Elnora; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands Roscoe Bissey and Roy Moore; brothers, Lilburn, Austin, Bill, Alpha and Bud Woodruff; and sisters, Zelda Mallette, Melinda Petty, Hazel Malone, Dorothy Meek and Imogene Campbell. The funeral will be at 11 a.m Wednesday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
