VINCENNES — Geneva R. Adams, 85, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Geneva was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Palestine, Ill., the daughter of Forrest and Golda (Harter) Turnipseed. She married Howard C. Adams on Aug. 20, 1965. Geneva was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Howard C. Adams of Vincennes; son, Steve Adams of Washington; daughter, Diana Fisher of Columbus, Ohio; son, Tim Adams and wife Victoria of Monroe, Ga.; grandchildren, Brock Adams and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Fisher, Lindsay Fisher, Mina Adams, Alexi Adams, Peter Adams, Nikolai Adams; great-grandson, Aidan Adams; brother, Gene Lackey and his wife Jackie of Tyrone, Ga.; and cousin Rita Carol Pryor and her husband Kenny of Robinson, Ill. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with John Nappo and Ron Barnes officiating.
