ODON — Bethel Merrill (Kail) Melsheimer, 94, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday at Ketcham Memorial Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 17, 1915, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Charles and Eva Lorena (Eaton) Kail.
She retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane after 14 1/2 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Nina LaMar of Odon; three sons, Ivan Melsheimer of San Antonio, Texas, Larry Melsheimer of Vincennes, and Melvin Melsheimer of Tennyson; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Rose Sanders of Bloomington and Golden Rhine of Indianapolis.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Greene, and a brother, Arlie Kail.
Private family graveside services will be held at Burns City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made through Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home.
