LOOGOOTEE — Laura V. Bowman, 89, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 28, 1921, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Reid and Agnes (Lents) Lane.
She had worked at Perfect Fit for 17 1/2 years and Shoals Community School Corporation as a custodian.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Waggoner and Ethel McGuire, both of Shoals; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Wortinger of Shoals and Louella Zehr of Taswell.
Her husband, Harold Bowman, whom she married Sept. 3, 1938, died March 20, 1996. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Wanda Lucille Bowman, who died in infancy, and Bonnie Taylor; one brother; and six sisters, two of whom died in infancy.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will be in Crystal Community Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
