She and her sister Patty went “thrift shopping,” or “junking” as they called it, every Tuesday and Thursday. Charlotte really loved life; she enjoyed so many life experiences. She was witty, funny and touched the hearts of many and always had something nice to say about everyone. Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Connie D. Roberts of Bloomington; a son, Frank Healy and his wife Maria of Bloomington; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Patty and Jerry Maibuecher of Skokie, Ill.; three sisters and one brother, Patty Campbell of Ellettsville, Juanita and Byford Carnahan, Jo Ella Nolley and Thomas Leonard, all of Washington; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; an extra special granddog, Dickens; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles and Loran Leonard, sister Harriett Mattingly, Hester Cass and Verda Gregory. Charlotte was a cherished and much loved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed but always remembered. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
