WHEATLAND —
P. Joanne Long, 76, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday at Bridge Pointe Health Campus in Vincennes.
Born March 28, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Willard A. and Charlotte I. (Vaught) Wilson. She worked as a central supply clerk at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church and Monroe City Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Long; son and daughter-in-law, Tod Andrew and Judy Long of Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Ann and JR Henry of Wheatland; and five grandchildren, Nicholas (Heather) Long, Eric Long, Janesa Henry, Jarryd Henry and Jenifer Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Christian Church. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home Washington Chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the church.
